T.J Evers is an established principle building contractor with a current turnover of £12M p/a working in both the public and private sectors which has developed into a well organized, highly respected multi disciplined organization having developed itself on firm foundations.

T.J Evers Ltd has been constructing fine buildings for more than 80 years. At the end of the Great War, the company's founder - a carpenter - set up his own building firm with one wheelbarrow and two assistants, and T.J Evers came into being as a company.

		The quality of the firm's workmanship rapidly increased its stature, and growing numbers of satisfied customers helped it progress towards it establishment as a limited company in 1943. The experience and expertise available within T.J. Evers Ltd grew alongside the company's expansion, and one of the earlier larger projects completed was the prestigious Maldon Grammar School.

	More recently, the stylish Mercury Theatre together with its latest major extension in Colchester was built by T.J. Evers Ltd, and today the list of major projects completed is formidable. It includes schools, hospitals, banks, hotels, restaurants, industrial and commercial premises, housing, municipal buildings, and the company has restored to glory many fine East Anglian buildings.

Sadly, Thomas James Evers, is no longer with us, but his commitment to quality, service and reliability lives on within the organization which bears his name. Still very much a family concern, the founder's great grandson is a current director.
