Whitehall College Site Visit

Second year students studying their Btec Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment visited one of our live projects in Colchester. The trip was arranged by one of our own degree students who is also studying the same course at the Colchester Institute.

The Whitehall Resources project was a £3million job that included two brand new office blocks with a shared car parking facility. Both offices were steel framed with brickwork, cladding and curtain walling.

During the visit the students got the chance to experience a live working construction site and watch how a steel frame is erected. Their learning objective was to understand how architect’s instruction worked and how they were put in to practice on a construction site.
