TIME CAPSULE BURIED IN CHURCH GROUNDS

Church expansion project kicked off.

A time capsule was buried at St John’s C of E Church in Langdon Hills to kick off the expansion works.

T J Evers are undertaking the work on the Church, in Forest Glade, which includes an extension to expand the pre-school, the construction of a new chapel plus additional offices and meeting rooms.

Rector of St John’s Church, Colin Hopkinson, headed the ceremony along with special guest the Bishop of Bradwell, Rev Laurie Green.  T J Evers representatives were also in attendance along with other adults and youngsters.

The capsule was filled with photographs plus other items contributed by the church and is to be dug up in 30 years time.
