Training and Development
Training and Development of all our staff is fundamental to our success.
To ensure we continuously improve as an organisation we operate a structured training plan which enables our team to be developed to their full potential in line with our requirements and those of the industry. Our training plan is regularly monitored and audited externally by Helmsman Services and Construction Skills for best practice. We also encourage and support our staff to achieve professional qualifications.
Apprentices
Quality workmanship is embedded within our culture. We employ apprentices in all disciplines of the construction industry which ensures our directly employed workforce remains highly skilled and produces the quality of work expected on all of our projects.
Degree Students
We actively seek to recruit people who are wishing to embark on technical and managerial careers in Construction. There are opportunities for people interested in Quantity Surveying, Purchasing, Estimating and Project Management.
Through studying on a day release basis our training programme at this level runs in conjunction with local colleges and universities offering Degree courses over a 5 year period. This approach has significant benefits for both us as employers and students alike. Students have an opportunity to support their studies with practical experience and earn while they learn. This in turn allows us to coach and mentor students using personal development plans from day 1 thereby providing opportunities for responsibility at an early stage. Our continued support is then given to obtain membership of CIOB or RICS.
