TJ Evers is delighted to have been awarded a new project at Thorney Bay on Canvey Island. The project comprises the construction of a new seafront Pavilion building with associated car park expansion work. The project required initial detailed liaison with the Environment Agency in respect of the proposed screw pile foundation design, due to the new building’s proximity to the existing sea wall defences before final EA permissions could be granted.
Provision includes a new Architecturally striking sea-front Cafe retail outlet with servery, kitchen, public amenities and raised balcony areas providing secluded external seating areas.

Works are now underway on our USP Seevic College, Benfleet, where we are constructing a New Med Tech Facility, with Demolition complete and Groundworks & Piling having just commenced.
Off-site progress is also gathering pace with design work underway for the beam and block ground floor, hollow-core upper floor and structural steel frame.
Works are now well underway on our new Sports Hall project at St Audreys School in Onslow.
The initial groundwork phase is completed, the steel frame has been erected, the 1st floor deck has been concreted and roof works have started.
TJ Evers is delighted to have been awarded another project via the Essex County Council ECF2 Framework to Design and Construct a new five class base primary school building, together with additional SEN, Library, Practical Room and Studio provision alongside associated ancillary spaces. Additionally, the scheme includes remodelling works within the existing school to provide a new Junior Classroom, new Changing Room facilities, Kitchen refit as well as a new internal lift to provide wheelchair accessibility.
Furthermore, the scheme includes an extension to the school’s existing MUGA and car parking facilities.

Evers have recently secured the £4.1m RAAC remedial works at The Gilberd School in Colchester.
We are pleased to work once again with the Alpha Trust and the Gilberd School following on from the successful completion of the new Arts Block.
Around 50% of the schools existing buildings have been impacted by the discovery of RAAC, causing significant disruption and inconvenience to both the school and their pupils. TJ Evers are working closely with Archer Building Consultancy to undertake remedial works to around 4,000m2 of RAAC, in a swift, timely and unobtrusive fashion, to enable the majority of pupils to return to their classrooms in time for the next academic year.
TJ Evers are pleased to have secured the design and construction of a new £1.76m MedTech teaching facility for our new Client, USP College at their Seevic Campus, in Benfleet, Essex.
The new, two storey, stand alone building comprises a Sports and Medical Testing Suite, Flexible Learning Classroom, Veterinary Skills Suite, Lecture Room, Digital Suite and a HE Social/Study Space, along with all necessary ancillary provisions.
TJ Evers’s agility in programming and resourcing allows a swift start on site, ensuring the college’s aspiration of delivering teaching from their new building at the start of the academic year 2024/2025.
TJ Evers are pleased to have started work on site of the construction of a new, three class base facility including associated ancillary rooms, providing new primary GROW provision, on behalf of Essex County Council, via the ECF2 framework.
TJ Evers and their Design Teams worked closely throughout the early stages with Essex County Council and Pick Everard, ensuring the design achieved the County Councils high expectations in terms of sustainability, cost effectiveness, form and function. Additionally, TJ Evers worked with their planning consultants to ensure a successful planning outcome.
The project will provide the school with a unique new facility, designed, and constructed to nett zero standards, incorporating green technologies, ready for use from the start of the Autumn 2024 term.

The Evers team were delighted to attend the grand opening of the recently completed project at All Saint’s Primary School in Maldon. The opening was also attended by the project team, the school council and the local mayor.
Working once more with Barker Associates and Essex County Council, Evers are proud to have completed a new class base and the internal remodelling of the existing school to provide new staff offices, reception and a pastoral care room.
We also called upon the expertise of our electrical contractor #Ampwood Solutions to undertake the electrical installation and upgrade the fire alarm system to current regulations.
The project ran smoothly and completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule, allowing the school time to move into their new facilities ahead of the new school year.
We are delighted to be working once again for the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
The scheme involves internal alterations to form new dormitories and fire compartmentation works. The works also include the associated mechanical and electrical services.
We are extremely pleased to have been awarded the second phase of work at St. Audreys School in Onslow.
This phase includes the design and build of a new £3.4m Sports Hall.
The works are due to start on-site at the beginning of October 23 and the building comprises of a multi-sports hall, changing rooms, an upstairs fitness suite and a reception and office area.
