Glebe Farm, East Mersea

T J Evers were delighted to be tasked with the construction of a new farm shop and café at Glebe Farm, East Mersea.

Following the demolition of the existing ‘pick your own’ shed we constructed a new café, farm shop and office.

The structural work involved traditional trench fill strip foundations, steel frame with insulated timber frame infill with stained larch cladding to the outer walls. The roof work involved the interface of between a standard detail and a colourcoat urban steel sheet cladding systems with associated rainwater goods and aluminium composite windows and doors.

The new barns were finished with resin floors, non-slip vinyl and tiles to WC’s. Internal walls and ceilings finished with a mixture of traditional plasterboard and plaster skim, timber cladding.

External works included hard landscaping with a mixture of timber deck for external seating, block paving leading up to the main door, tarmac area
