The Scout Association – Gilwell Park

Evers are proud to have delivered this project on behalf of The Scout Association at a busy Scout Activity Centre that remained fully operational throughout the works.

The project involved an extension to the existing lodge, extensive structural remodelling, upgrades to mechanical and electrical services, the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems, and the construction of new access roads and woodland footpaths.

Careful planning and coordination were required to maintain safe access and minimise disruption while the centre continued normal operations.

Sustainability formed a key part of the scheme, including the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP). Environmental control measures were implemented in consultation with ecological specialists and Natural England, with bat protection measures in place to safeguard local wildlife.

The project was completed successfully, delivering improved facilities with enhanced sustainability while protecting the surrounding environment and maintaining continuous operation of the centre
