Vicarage Mead, Thaxted

Construction work involved structural alteration of the existing building forming sheltered accommodation split into 20 new apartments with communal bathrooms, service areas and a day care centre.

Successful completion of the works required the contract to be completed in 2 phases. Residents were re-located to one end of the existing building during phase 1 and then moved into the finished apartments to allow the remodelling of the remaining apartments and amenity areas whilst phase 2 of the work was carried out.
