On Wednesday 16th January 2019, the Evers team invited the head staff at the school and The Brewers’ Company, who funded the project, to take part in the Topping Out Ceremony at the Dame Alice Owen’s School.
The apron to the roof access hatch was signed by the headteacher and her project staff. It was also signed by the visiting representatives from Brewers. Evers site team assigned the headteacher of the school, with the important task of guiding in the roof apron section into place by liaising directly with the tower crane.
The signed spade from the ground-breaking ceremony was presented in a bespoke cabinet hand made by our own Joinery department, ready to be displayed in the new building when works are complete.
