King Edward VI Grammar School

The project comprised of a three storey 6th form centre extension within the courtyard area of the existing school together with the remodelling of the existing school areas.

Construction details incorporated piling, ground beams, steel frame, pre-cast concrete planks to 1st & 2nd floors and glu-lam beams which supported the slate covered roof structure. The elevations were built using traditional cavity masonry with some terracotta rain screen cladding & Velfac structural glazing.

The school publicly praised our management of the overall process which involved in depth pre-planning to ensure the safety of the school staff and children whilst maintaining the project programme.
